How to begin the buying process:

Determine Your Budget

Determine your budget to know what you can afford. If you are planning to use a mortgage lender, they can help determine your price range.
Find a lender that you will be comfortable working with! Not sure where to begin? Ask a real estate agent for recommendations.

Tip: Use a local lender near the area/state you are shopping in!
Montana is very unique and local lenders understand this! This can be a huge help during the negotiation process!

Choose An Agent

Find a Real Estate Agent that you feel is a great fit to represent you and who understands your goals! They are the ones that could be fighting for you during negotiations to win the offer.
Tip: Schedule consultation appointments with agents to help determine who you will work well with.

Search for Properties

Start looking at properties that are listed for sale and that meet your criteria. Begin scheduling showings with your agent!

Place an Offer

Submit an offer on the property you want to purchase! After discussing what you want to offer on the property, your agent will write the offer with the terms you specified. They will send it to you to review & sign, before submitting it to the seller’s agent.

Seller’s can accept, counter-offer, or reject your offer. This step can include negotiating with the seller/seller’s agent, which your agent handles after discussing with you.

Accepted Offer!

Once the offer is accepted by the seller, you are officially under contract! This process includes various items to be performed before your closing date.
As your agent, I will be with you every step of the way to explain the process and make sure we meet all the deadlines.

Closing Day!

Once you, and the seller, sign all the associated documents for the purchase of the property at the title company, the deed will be recorded with the county.
Then, you are officially the new owner!
